My Size Wine Bottle

For the week, Matthew brought with him some 6 & 9 litter bottles.  The first were to appear at ENO wine bar at the intercontinental hotel.  We debuted the new vintage of Suspiro del Moro.  It was pretty amazing to taste a barrel sample of the upcoming 2009 vintage.  After the event we headed over to check out the new restaurant Gilt for dinner.  Matthew order a Hungarian Irsai Oliver wine which paired amazing with the seafood dishes we ordered. It was Muscat like on the nose with good acidity and no muscat-like butterness on the finish. The food at Gilt was wonderful and our waiter was awesome.  I can’t wait to go back. Next time I’ll have to order a bottle of Domaine Astruc Viognier or Boomtown Cabernet

The next large format bottles appeared at Lush in West Town for the All You Can Drink Buffet event.  Two lucky guests each won a bottle of Matthew’s 6 liters of Forlorn Hope.  One was Les Deux Matieux and the other Gascony Cadets

What a great way to end the week.  Drinking Forlorn Hope with a bunch of friends at Lush’s new wine shop. The week of events couldn’t have been better. Below are a few of my favorite pictures from the night...
